This document sets out the conditions governing the contracting of trips for the main purpose of tourism on board the Luxury Trains run by Renfe Viajeros Sociedad Mercantil Estatal, S.A. ("Renfe Viajeros"). In no case will they apply to other tourist services that are not expressly considered Luxury Trains. For anything not provided for in these General Conditions, the General Conditions of Renfe Viajeros Transport Contracts will apply where applicable.
In any case, these General Conditions are established without prejudice to the commercial particularities applicable to each of the services, products, price options, fares and offers that Renfe Viajeros offers at any given time, and which can be consulted on the Renfe website or at www.spanishluxurytrain.com, as well as in customer service offices and the different authorised sales channels.
Renfe Viajeros will provide its customers with a catalogue of tourist products depending on the type and route of its Luxury Trains, in different periods or seasons throughout the year.
The customer may request the contracting of these tourist products available at any given time in accordance with the following 2 categories:
a) Regular Trip: the route of the train trip and the other services offered are performed within the regular service season of the chosen Luxury Train.
b) Charter Trip: these services involve contracting an entire train by the same client. They are provided either outside the regular season of the selected Luxury Train services or during the regular season.
Travel to and from the starting point of the Luxury Train journey (Spain Only):
Such travel is understood to be transport to the starting point of the journey and the return trip, where applicable. Transport will be provided, at the customer’s request, by conventional AVE, ALVIA, Long Distance or AVLO trains to the starting point of the Luxury Train trip, as well as the return trip from the location where the said trip ends, provided that the trips are included among the rail transport services provided by Renfe Viajeros, within Spain, on consecutive days, and with a maximum difference of 48 hours between connections, if these are unavoidable. Renfe Viajeros will provide free transport to the point of departure when making a booking on any of its Luxury Trains by issuing the corresponding promotional codes (a code for each person and route), which can be used in all available distribution channels. In any case, the provisions of the General Conditions of Renfe Viajeros contracts and its own Commercial Conditions will apply to the services involved in travelling to the point of departure, without these Terms and Conditions being applicable to them.
